Based in the School of Sport, Health and Exercise Sciences, this project involves creating sustainable breast health educational resources. You will be supervised by Professor Joanna Wakefield-Scurr and Dr Mike Rayner, and will contribute to developing accessible, cost-effective, and sustainable breast and bra education programmes for various target groups. The Research Group in Breast Health has already developed evidence-based educational resources and scientifically validated surveys to evaluate the outcomes of breast and bra interventions, with recent initiatives showing positive results. However, bespoke interventions are often expensive and time-consuming, so this project will explore a tiered approach to make these educational programmes more widely accessible, particularly to schoolgirls and sporting populations who often lack evidence-based information.
