Bachelor in Computer science

SWPS University's Computer Science programme, located in Poland and taught in English over 7 semesters, combines computer science and mathematics with hands-on programming and the use of technological and design tools, leading to a bachelor's degree with yearly tuition of EUR 4500. The practical profile is meant to prepare graduates for a career in the information technology sector while also opening paths into related areas such as artificial intelligence, Big Data, machine learning, and cybersecurity. Coursework covers algorithms, data structures, computational complexity theory, data optimization, and data analysis, along with coding in widely used languages including Python, Java, and JavaScript, and the protocols, libraries, and frameworks that developers rely on day to day. Students also learn how to diagnose, prevent, and resolve cyber threats, and how to design and implement AI systems. Alongside technical training, the programme develops soft skills needed when working with clients and design teams, and students apply what they learn through workshops, individual and team projects, and internships, with an emphasis on teaching mathematics in a way that makes it approachable. Because the programme also includes components from the social sciences and humanities, students learn to identify and address social problems using computer science theory and tools, on the understanding that effective computer science work also depends on understanding human needs and behavior.
