Bachelor in Computer Science (BSc)

The Bachelor of Science in Computer Science programme at Hochschule Fresenius runs over 6 semesters and focuses on using computer science to solve real-world problems. Students develop a structured approach to engineering systems, covering the steps of analysing, planning, designing, and building complex computer systems, along with practical knowledge of modern operating systems, computer architecture, and networks. Early semesters introduce computer science, programming languages, mathematics, and statistics. Later coursework spans artificial intelligence, algorithms, data structures, data science, data analytics, databases and information systems, cloud computing, software engineering, computer networks, UX and web technology, and information security. In the fourth and fifth semesters, students concentrate on two specialisations chosen from Cyber Security, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, Software Engineering, and Industry 4.0. The programme is offered at Hochschule Fresenius in Köln, Germany.
