The Child Protection program is designed for social work professionals and others involved in child protection, including police officers, lawyers, teachers, and healthcare workers. This one-year diploma provides specialized training to enhance their skills and knowledge in child welfare. Ideal for those who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of vulnerable children and families, this program emphasizes practical application and collaboration among various professionals.

Students will engage in a curriculum that covers essential topics such as the historical and legal context of child protection, fundamental needs and rights of children, and methods for assessing risk situations. The program includes 140 hours of instruction, organized over two days each month from September to June, with the option for internships to gain hands-on experience. This structure ensures that students are well-prepared to address the complexities of child welfare in their professional roles.

Graduates of the Child Protection program can pursue various roles, including child protection officer, social worker, family support worker, and legal advisor in child welfare cases. They may find employment in government agencies, non-profit organizations, and educational institutions.
