Cottbus, Germany Taught in English Open to international students

About the Program

The Master's programme in Chemistry: Materials, Engineering and Sustainability at Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus-Senftenberg is a four-semester, English-taught degree that admits students each winter semester. It is aimed at graduates of Bachelor's programmes with a strong emphasis on materials chemistry or process engineering, and it offers a high degree of subject choice across two specialisations. The materials chemistry specialisation covers chemical aspects of developing, characterising, and applying materials such as polymer and biomaterials and materials for energy storage. The fluid and process engineering specialisation addresses the analysis, modelling, and development of chemical-technical production processes and energy conversion processes. Ecological, economic, and energy considerations, including life cycle analysis, are integrated across both tracks. The programme includes compulsory elective modules from the chosen specialisation, elective modules from areas such as environment, economy, law, and German language, interdisciplinary studies, a compulsory research internship (30 CP), and a Master's thesis (30 CP). The programme is based in Cottbus, Germany.
