Chemie der Universität des Saarlandes is a very research-active department with strengths in areas such as the chemisch-biologischen and chemisch-biomedizinischen as well as Nanowissenschaften. Modules are available in Synthesemethoden, Organische Naturstoffchemie, Biologische und Medizinische Chemie, Polymeren, Hybriden and Biomaterialien, Theoretische Chemie and more.

The Saarbrücker Masterstudiengang Chemie prepares students for careers in industry, research institutions, and public organizations. It also equips students with the knowledge and skills necessary for doctoral studies and an academic career.

Students take ten Wahlpflichtmodules from a wide range of subjects and gain insights into the methods and contents of neighboring sciences. The programme is taught in English and German and has a duration of 4 semester.
