About MSc Business Intelligence and Process Management

Applications close 15 May.

The Master in Business Intelligence and Process Management at HWR Berlin is aimed at graduates with a career-oriented first degree who want to study with an international group of students. The programme focuses on information technology as a driver of corporate value creation through two streams: Business Intelligence, which addresses the role of data and Big Data in corporate decision-making, and Business Process Management, which examines how information and communication technology shapes organisational processes. The three-semester structure builds progressively. The first semester establishes a common knowledge base in business analytics, data warehousing, decision-making, and business process management. The second semester deepens these topics, introduces IT architectures for big data, and includes two hands-on labs — an analytics lab and a process lab — alongside one elective from a range of Master's subjects. The third semester is for the Master's dissertation and an accompanying research methodology seminar; students who do an internship in semester three may postpone the thesis to semester four. All courses are taught as interactive seminars in English, using case studies, project-oriented learning, and team-based learning. Applications from non-German degree holders close on 15 May; German degree holders apply by 15 June. The programme is based at HWR Berlin in Berlin, Germany.
