The compulsory module “Conservative Repair” examines defects in traditional buildings, the legislation that protects heritage and the non-destructive approaches used to preserve them. Through workshops and site visits you will also work on real projects with organisations such as Historic England and the Heritage Lottery Fund.

This MSc suits graduates who hold at least a 2:2 honours degree in Surveying, Architecture, Archaeology, Town Planning, History or Geography, or who have significant industry experience in the heritage sector. It prepares you for roles such as conservation officer, heritage consultant, chartered surveyor, planning officer or project manager in public bodies and private practice.
