The BSc in Applied Mathematics at the Technical University of Applied Sciences Würzburg-Schweinfurt (THWS) provides a grounding in core mathematical subjects alongside practical programming skills. Students also gain exposure to one of two areas of specialisation: business or engineering. The seven-semester programme starts in the winter semester and is located in Schweinfurt. Semesters three and four move into advanced topics including differential equations, probability theory and statistics, data science, and business processes or electrical engineering. The seventh semester is dedicated to the Bachelor's thesis and seminar, along with elective courses. The degree awarded is Bachelor of Science. Students also have the opportunity to spend a semester at a partner university and to complete an internship as part of their studies. The programme is offered at THWS in Schweinfurt, Germany.
