About Bachelor of Psychiatric Nursing

Psychiatric nursing focuses on mental health promotion, assessment, and care across diverse settings. The Bachelor of Psychiatric Nursing programme builds on a prior diploma to deepen knowledge of clinical standards, leadership, management, education and research, preparing you for advanced roles in hospitals, community health, correctional facilities and youth centres.

The study mode is part-time distance learning. Depending on the year you completed your diploma you will follow either an eight-term schedule (graduating before 2010) or a six-term schedule (graduating in 2010 or later), taking one or two courses each term and completing a clinical practicum.

A concise, flexible pathway to a university-level degree.
