Law explores how societies regulate conduct, resolve disputes and protect rights, raising questions about justice, authority and ethics. This Bachelor of Laws provides the foundation for understanding those issues while preparing you for professional legal practice.

The degree spans four years, beginning with a First-Year POD programme that groups all first-semester subjects into a single tutorial cohort, supported by a dedicated First-Year Coordinator. Throughout the course you study core legal subjects, choose electives, develop practical skills in research, interviewing, drafting, advocacy and negotiation, and complete a compulsory legal internship (LLB3397) of 140 hours.

The programme is aimed at high-performing secondary students (ATAR 90) and equivalent international applicants who have satisfied the required English proficiency, as well as non-school leavers with relevant qualifications. It suits those who wish to pursue careers such as solicitor, barrister, policy advisor or in-house counsel, and who are ready for both academic rigour and practical courtroom experience.
