About Bachelor of Humanities

The application deadline is 2026-09-10.

The Bachelor of Humanities with a specialisation in outdoor and adventure education prepares students to design and deliver safe, adventurous educational programmes for diverse target groups. Students develop pedagogical, social, technical, environmental, and safety skills, and gain grounding in preventive work, community action, and well-being promotion. Entrepreneurship is also part of the preparation. Study is full-time and delivered through a variety of methods, including contact teaching, online study, individual assignments, group activities, and work-life projects and internships. Students also have the opportunity to complete part of their studies through international exchange. Graduates can work in youth work, NGOs, education and training, well-being services, and nature- or adventure-based entrepreneurship, in both Finnish and international contexts. The programme runs for three years, starting in January 2026, and is offered at Centria University of Applied Sciences in Mikkeli, Finland.
