Degree Overview

MH304 Bachelor of Electronic Engineering and optional Year 5 Master of Engineering is accredited by Engineers Ireland. Both degrees are recognised internationally, meeting the educational standard required to become a chartered engineer. In MH304 Electronic Engineering, students engage with Engineering fundamentals, Mathematics modules and commence their first Problem Based Learning Project in the first year, continuing with projects throughout their studies.

This program is unique due to its focus on Problem Based Learning, which equips students to tackle real-world challenges. Students acquire essential skills in effective communication, ethics, sustainable development goals, and project delivery. Those achieving a minimum grade of 2.2 (50%) in their third year may elect to pursue the ME stream, allowing for a year of industrial work experience, Erasmus, or a Research Internship.
