The Information Technology program at Novia trains students across a broad range of modern IT competencies: full-stack programming, cloud-based solutions, IoT data acquisition systems, AI-based algorithms, business systems based on Big Data, and 3D visualization. The program keeps programming at the center, treating it as the primary method for solving the IT challenges addressed throughout the curriculum. Beyond coding itself, students learn to manage the development process, digitize and present data, and account for end-user needs. Technical areas such as networks and databases are also covered, along with topics like DevOps, Scrum, web and mobile development, and cloud deployment. The curriculum prepares students to deploy solutions to clients and work within the full software lifecycle. The program starts in September 2026 and runs for 2 years at Novia University of Applied Sciences in Vaasa, Finland.
