Each week you will attend lectures, labs and tutorials that build a solid foundation in engineering principles, while spending around 48 hours on coursework and independent study. From your second year you can choose a double major, splitting your studies between Electrical & Electronics Engineering and Computer & Autonomous Systems Engineering, and you will engage in industry-linked projects that apply theory to real-world problems.

A distinctive feature is a compulsory 12-week work-based placement, totalling 420 hours (35 hours per week). This placement can be undertaken in Australia or overseas and is integrated throughout the degree, giving you practical experience alongside your academic studies.

The programme leads to professional accreditation by Engineers Australia, preparing graduates for roles such as electrical, electronics, control systems, robotics or autonomous vehicle engineer. It is suited to students who have achieved an ATAR of 80 and meet the English language requirements.
