Graduates of this programme move into roles such as application developer, software engineer, data scientist, systems analyst or project manager in technology companies, consulting firms, government agencies and research organisations. The degree also provides a pathway to professional registration with the Australian Computer Society and to postgraduate study.

The Dean’s Scholar distinction adds a competitive edge: scholars receive priority access to an honours-level subject, limited-place entry and the chance to undertake a final-year capstone team project that simulates real-world software development. The three-year structure blends core computer-science fundamentals with specialised software-engineering study and culminates in the capstone experience.
