UOW’s flexible degree structure sets this programme apart, giving you a core foundation, a specialised major and a flexible zone to add a second major, two minors or elective subjects – all within the standard three-year timeframe (or part-time equivalent). The Computing major covers theory, design, development and application of computer systems, while the other majors – Computational Physics, Cyber Network Security and Principles of Data Science – broaden your expertise across emerging technology fields.

The course prepares innovators and problem-solvers for future industry demands. You study programming, systems analysis, artificial intelligence, logic and complete a final-year capstone or design project that delivers practical outcomes for real-world problems. Graduates pursue roles such as software developer, data scientist, cyber security analyst, AI engineer or quantitative analyst in sectors ranging from health and engineering to finance and telecommunications.
