This course will prepare you for an ever-changing communication sector. In a crowded media landscape, your challenge is to help organisations build credibility, trust and awareness of their brand with their target audiences. You’ll develop the knowledge and skills for a diverse range of communication fields, including advertising, public relations, digital communication, public affairs and community relations/engagement. You’ll also gain an awareness of strategic communication theories and practices, with a focus on designing advertising and public relations campaigns. And you’ll explore contemporary communication planning and practices with an emphasis on ethics, environmental issues, diversity and digital communication. In your final capstone’ unit, you’ll engage in a comprehensive, hands-on creative agency experience producing portfolios of industry standard work for real clients.

English Test Requirement

IELTS Academic Overall band minimum score of 6.0 (no individual band less than 6.0); Year 12 English ATAR/English Literature ATAR grade C or better or equivalent; Special Tertiary Admissions Test; completion of 1.0 EFTSL of study at bachelor level in the UK, Ireland, USA, NZ or Canada; University Preparation Course; Indigenous University Orientation Course; AQF Diploma, Advanced Diploma or Associate Degree; or completed 0.375 EFTSL of study at bachelor level.
