The Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Sonderpaedagogik with a focus on Alltagskultur und Gesundheit (AuG) covers two key areas: Ernährung und Konsum (Nutrition and Consumption) and Mode und Textil (Fashion and Textiles), taught through a combination of theoretical and practical content. The curriculum is structured around the concept of 'Alltagskultur, Ernährung, Soziales' (AES), which will be taught in the Wahlpflichtbereich (elective module) at Haupt-, (Werkreal-), Real- und Gemeinschaftsschulen (secondary schools) starting from the 2025/26 academic year.

As a future Sonderpädagogik (special education) teacher, you will work in diverse educational settings such as the Sonderpädagogischen Dienst (special education service), early childhood development, and consultancy roles. The programme is aligned with key perspectives such as Bildung für Nachhaltige Entwicklung (Education for Sustainable Development), Gesundheitsbildung (Health Education), and Verbraucherbildung (Consumer Education).
