The BA (Hons) Media Production course prepares graduates for careers in post-production, film and TV directing, scriptwriting, marketing, advertising, journalism, or freelancing, with roles such as PR and communications officer, social media assistant, assistant editor, visual media co-ordinator, TV researcher, camera assistant, first or second assistant director, sound and vision engineer, film/video producer, stills photographer, or production manager.

Students gain hands-on experience with industry-standard equipment and facilities, including Eldon TV Studios, White Swan Building, professional TV and film cameras, a Baselight Colour Grading Studio, and a Video Editing Suite. The course features a one-year placement in the media industries, guest lectures from professionals, and the opportunity to achieve industry-recognised Adobe Certified Professional (ACP) qualifications.

Core modules include Future Production, Global Screens, Introduction to Media Studies, Post Production - Editing, Understanding Film Production, and Writing for the Film and TV Industries, among others. Students can also choose optional modules such as Broadcast Radio and Podcasting, Film Curation, Film Sound Production, and Finding Form - Fiction.
