The University of Information Technology and Management in Rzeszów offers this bachelor's program in Aviation Management, taught in English over three years, or six semesters. Yearly tuition is 3000 EUR. UITM describes itself as a pioneer of aviation management study in Poland, noting that only four universities in Europe offer a specialization of this kind, and that it was the fourth university in Europe to introduce such a course. The program was developed to meet market demand, giving students the opportunity to build skills in aviation management with particular focus on airport and airline operations. Compared with tuition at universities in Western Europe, the program is offered at a markedly lower price. Teaching staff include international experts and practitioners whose regular work is connected to air transportation, and the program presents their experience as central to the quality of instruction. UITM holds a license for ARCPort software, used to run simulations of airport operations, the same software used daily by the Star Alliance airline group; students on the program have the opportunity to earn a certificate, granted by the Airport Research Centre, confirming their ability to use it. According to the program, ARCPort is used by more than 80 international airports. Aviation management as a field of study covers airport operations, airline management, aviation regulation, and logistics, and graduates typically pursue careers in airport administration, airline operations, ground handling, and aviation consulting. Coursework in the first year introduces students to the foundations of the aviation industry before moving into more specialized airport and airline operations topics across the remaining years of the three-year program.
