Bachelor in Ausstattung

Graduates from the mode design Bachelor programme go on to careers in fashion, costume design, and costume making, or to further study at master's level. The programme teaches costume-making, the development of stage costumes, and the basic principles of textile and fashion design. Its focus on both theory and practice, and on the specific needs of stage and screen, prepares students to create costumes for theatre, opera, film, musical and television productions.

The curriculum includes the planning and construction of costumes, as well as the drafting and design of textile patterns. Students work on real-world projects, such as 'ACT KIT!', a project where students designed and created costumes for a theatre production.
