About Associate of Science Degree

At Okanagan College, tuition is CAD 5,345 per year (domestic).

Students study biology, chemistry, computer science, mathematics, statistics, physics, and astronomy through hands-on labs, experiments, and classroom work. They develop skills in scientific reasoning, problem solving, and critical thinking. The program prepares students for transfer to a four-year Bachelor of Science degree at a university in British Columbia or across Canada.

The curriculum includes two years of university-level courses. First-year courses cover English, biology, chemistry, math, physics, and related subjects. Second-year studies focus on specific emphases such as Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science, or Mathematics & Statistics. Students take core courses and choose electives based on their intended university major.

Students must complete at least 50% of the program through Okanagan College, including 18 credits of 200-level or higher courses. Admission requires a B.C. secondary school graduation or equivalent, with minimum grades in English 12 and math. Students who do not meet these requirements can still enroll but are restricted from certain courses until they fulfill the conditions.
