The Associate of Arts Degree at Okanagan College prepares students for further education or career paths through a flexible, two-year program. You explore diverse subjects across 23 areas, building critical thinking, communication, and research skills. The program is designed for those who want to expand their perspectives and lay a strong academic foundation before transferring to a bachelor's degree or entering the workforce.

You choose from more than 300 courses and can focus on specific areas like Communications, Creative Writing, Economics, English, or Environmental Studies. Each emphasis includes required courses and electives that meet graduation standards. Students must complete at least 18 credits of 200-level courses and 50% of the program through Okanagan College.

The program starts in September 2026 or January 2027 at campuses in Kelowna, Vernon, Penticton, or Salmon Arm. It is offered on-campus with some courses available online. Admission requires a secondary school graduation or equivalent, with English 12 at 60% or higher. Mature applicants and transfer students may qualify under different conditions.
