Arts and Cultural Management is an English-language distance-learning Master's programme offered by the Leuphana Professional School in cooperation with the Goethe-Institut. It is aimed at cultural professionals working internationally and focuses on the transdisciplinary combination of cultural and business studies. Content areas include social, political, and cultural transformation processes, management and finance, culture marketing, communication and branding, organisational development, audience development, international partnerships, market and business analysis, the reception of culture and cultural theory, law in cultural organisations, sustainability and social responsibility, and culture policy. Case studies and projects are integrated throughout to develop practical skills. The programme is offered in two variants: 60 ECTS over three semesters or 90 ECTS over four semesters, both starting in the Winter semester. The distance-learning format includes two block seminars held in Lüneburg; the rest of the programme runs online, with support from an e-tutor and the programme coordinator. Students therefore combine flexibility with structured in-person touchpoints.
