Master in Artificial Intelligence for Industrial Applications (MSc)

Artificial Intelligence for Industrial Applications is a four-semester Master's programme that examines how AI functions and is deployed in industrial environments. The degree covers machine learning, natural language processing, and computer vision, grounded in solid theoretical principles and current research findings. It is designed as a practical and application-oriented education: students design and prototype AI systems in applied projects carried out in small groups, working with the most up-to-date technologies and high-performance GPU computers available in the programme's dedicated AI labs. Teaching is delivered by professors with strong research backgrounds alongside lecturers from the AI industry. Work formats combine lectures, team and individual projects, seminars, and self-study. Elective modules concentrate primarily on smart factories, while the energy sector and medical technology are also addressed to support a wider range of career paths. Graduates leave qualified to work in the digital working world with a Master of Science degree, with skills in data analysis, model training and evaluation, and AI system development. The programme accepts graduates from engineering and natural science disciplines including computer science, electrical engineering and information technology, mechatronics, and digital automation; the examination board determines relevance for each applicant. Applicants from outside the European Union must have their degree verified by uni-assist before applying. The programme is based in Amberg, Germany.
