Bachelor in Animal Behaviour and Welfare

Graduates can move into animal welfare officer roles, veterinary rehabilitation practice, research support positions or continue to postgraduate study in related disciplines. The programme runs full-time over one year, delivering 60 credits across two semesters. Semester 1 includes the core modules Animal Cognition & Behaviour, Animal Welfare, Welfare & Behaviour Aspects of Rehabilitation and Research Project Design. Semester 2 builds on this with Anthrozoology and a Research Project, while two elective modules – Advanced Veterinary Fluid Therapy and Wildlife Conservation & Welfare – allow further specialisation. The course suits holders of a degree in animal science, biology, veterinary studies or related fields who have a strong interest in animal behaviour and welfare.
