About this Course

The rationale behind studying this short course is two-fold. First, it assists students in understanding various methods for resolving disputes without litigation, such as arbitration, mediation, and negotiation. Second, it provides an overview of the legal principles related to the practice and procedure in industrial and employment tribunals. The course covers jurisdiction, initiation of proceedings, defending such proceedings, and tribunal procedures. It delves into the concepts and principles governing alternative dispute resolution (ADR) mechanisms in employment law, preparing students to navigate the intricacies of the tribunal process effectively.
