Students study how to communicate dramatic information, ideas, moods, and feelings through naturalistic, believable behavior in imaginary circumstances. They also study voice, acting speech, stage dialects, movement, improvisation, acting styles, theatre history, script interpretation, and actor coaching.

These skills apply to acting work in theatre and to actor coaching. They also support performance work that relies on script interpretation, movement, speech, and believable stage behavior.
