About Access and Use (Part M, B, K, DAC, Universal Design)

The module includes a Disabled Access Certificate and carries 10 ECTS credits, delivered in a blended format over one semester. It focuses on the design, site and compliance requirements for Part M (Access and Use) together with health-safety and best-practice aspects of windows, doors, lobbies and commercial stairs, and on Universal Design.

It is aimed at building-regulation practitioners, architects, surveyors and engineers who need to demonstrate professional-level knowledge of Irish building regulations. The course requires a part-time commitment of four lecture hours and ten hours of independent study per week, with an optional Saturday on-campus session each semester.
