It’s a great place to study because the feeling of being on campus is unmatched so I really feel like a student. The university has different campuses which all of their own character and I appreciate the architecture. The university has great facilities related to sport and there are lots of activities on offer through the student Union. However, the sports membership at university which is required to use the facilities is quite expensive which means there’s a huge divide in terms of demographics that participate in sport. In addition to this, on campus accommodation is not diverse and is predominantly white/middle class and minority groups tend to live off campus which can make it harder to interact with other people and get involved with on-campus activities as travel can be inconvenient. It would be great if the university’s hopper bus ran more frequently or if there were more buses that ran directly from off campus accommodation to make it easier for students. I would also say that the level of academic support is limited. Some subjects offer buddies in older years who can assist with one’s degree but this is not on offer for Economics. This would’ve really helped me because I haven’t been able to make too many friends on my course so I have to figure things out by myself. I would also appreciate it if the faculty had more networking events and social activities and perhaps if they did girls only events or minority specific events to build a sense of community as it is difficult as a minority. I feel like what we learn does not directly correlate to the difficulty of the exams and I wish we were given more opportunities to do exam practice and get feedback throughout the year. There is very little focus on exam technique and we don’t have the opportunity to have our knowledge tested regularly during the semester which has made me quite worried about how I’ll perform in my final exams. In terms of careers support, the university do a lot but I think there needs to be more made available for a wider range of careers. There is a lot of focus on more mainstream careers but I think with the connections the university must have, this could be greatly expanded. Making alumni more accessible to students would be a great idea and I wish there were some shorter work experience opportunities made available, especially opportunities abroad because they are very enriching. Overall I like how Nottingham is a place which encourages academic rigour but has a lot more on offer for students to make them well rounded. I just think there could be improved access and diversity when it comes to these things.

Campus is great, lots of green spaces. There are two big libraries and other study facilities. Not too far from Nottingham City centre, which is convenient. Student support on finding accommodation could be improved in my experience. Good number of in person contact hours, even with the pandemic. 1 hour per week of 6-1 tutorial with tutor which is helpful for going through lecture content and exam material. Office hours for all lecturers during the week to discuss any course-related questions. Excellent tram system for getting around the city, as well as well maintained Robin Hood bus network. As for the city itself, it has a wide range of pubs, clubs, bars and restaurants, and is very clean and safe from my experience. Catered accommodation - food of an acceptable standard. £25 per week included in accommodation contract, which can be spent in eateries around campus. Very good value for money, and very sociable with the large dinner hall at meal times.

Nottingham is a great place to study. Absolutely love the green campus and the facilities on campus is has to offer. The gym is so close and the architecture studios are not far. The best aspects have been living on campus for me , feeling a bit more like a community. The worst aspect i suppose is that i’m far away from my family! The best aspects about my course is that since september the course was mostly in person. With only a couple things online, whereas other subjects were all online. Everything i do now is in person which is really great. Love the location of the campus. It’s only a bus ride or tram ride away from the main city centre. The city is a great place for students, nught clubs , shops , bars and more! I like the community within the halls , in catered so it’s nice and social. The least thing that I like is sometimes the noise but can’t help that!

Best - sports facilities are great, nights out are cheap and fun, lots of things to get involved in, really enjoyed my course Worst - student support during covid could have been better. On placement this year which the university helped me to secure. Really enjoying it. Haven’t experienced the new ‘blended’ learning approach yet as I was last at university during the middle of COVID. Pre-COVID there was plenty of contact time and lots of time to ask questions.

The environment and the people around there, and all sorts of event. In Autumn semester of 2021, most of the lecture were taught online. However when our spring semester begin in 2022, all of the lecture are taught in-class. Normally, my lectures run in the morning every day but every Friday I have no lecture. Most of our modules is things regarding agriculture and something related to that. Apart from that, there's also a lots of agricultural activities every week. Sometimes we'd have a crop walk or a farm visit, depends on the interests. Even though my room is a standard ensuite, but there's not enough space in the bathroom. And the accommodation fees is a little expensive compared to other universities. However, there's always lots of event happening around here.
