WAsP self-study course and WAsP engineering course package deal. This package deal allows you to learn about WAsP and WAsP Engineering at your own pace. Both courses are including a case study, which will be reviewed by a member of the WAsP Team and feedback will be given. Please read the course’s descriptions carefully before purchasing this bundle. Learn more about WAsP self-study course Learn more about WAsP Engineering self-study course You will get access to the WAsP course for eight weeks and once this is completed, access to the WAsP Engineering course will be opened for ten weeks. Who is the bundle relevant for? The course is for students, engineers, scientists and others – primarily working within the field of wind energy – who require a working knowledge of the WAsP software for wind resource assessment. When and where? These two online self-study courses are on demand, ready when you have the time to learn more about WAsP. What is in it for your company? By having an employee who has participated in this course the company has access to a person who can manage the WAsP software and knows enough theory to avoid the pitfalls. There are multiple pitfalls which you will be taught but to name a few it could be to choose the correct height for your data, chose entire year for the dataset to avoid seasonal bias and to make sure that the roughness and elevation maps are the correct sizes. Practical information There are specific tasks and assignments, which need to be completed in order to receive the Certificate of Participation at the end of the course, but you can go over the material as many times as you wish. Most importantly, you are asked to complete a case study and hand it in. It will be evaluated by a member of the WAsP Team at DTU Wind Energy and brief written feedback will be given. WAsP self-study course Language: English 9 modules to study, 1-3 hours/module, plus a case study of about 8 hours; in total about 32-35 hours. You will receive a free WAsP license, which will be valid throughout the eight weeks, giving you access to the complete WAsP suite software. WAsP Engineering Self-study Online Course Language: English The course material and software license will be open for a period of 10 weeks. The expected workload is 37½ hours.
