The Voice and Opera programme is a four-year on-campus bachelor of arts degree offered through the Florence J. Gillmor School of Music. Students focus on vocal performance with dedicated private lessons, ensemble participation, and opera studio training. The programme includes coursework in music theory, history, aural skills, and foreign language. Performance opportunities include solo, chamber, and opera productions, with access to masterclasses and guest artists.

Focus areas include Vocal Performance, Opera Studio, Chamber Music, Choral Conducting, Music Studies, Piano Performance.

The programme requires a minimum of 50 credit hours, including private lessons, ensemble participation, music theory and history courses, and liberal education requirements. Students complete a degree in Music with an emphasis in Voice and Opera, which includes performance and academic coursework.

Graduates pursue careers as professional performers, music educators, and behind-the-scenes roles in music production and management.

Applicants must audition on their primary instrument or voice to be considered for the music major. The audition is required for all music majors, including those in the Voice and Opera emphasis. Additional application materials include transcripts and a completed application form.

The programme totals about 50 credit hours. On-campus, full-time, four-year programme. For international students, tuition is above the median for US programmes. The institution admits about 69% of applicants.
