Drake University’s Master of Science in Education (MSE) Special Education program bridges theory and practice for educators. Through intensive, collaborative classes, students explore the latest research and applications for K-12 classrooms, covering characteristics of mild/moderate disabilities, learning environments, assessment, behavior support, literacy, and vocational planning. The program emphasizes applying course concepts through a field-based practicum and offers a choice of six special education endorsements.

The program requires 32-36 total credits, distributed across coursework and a field-based practicum, designed for working educators.
