Applications for the May 2027 intake are due by Nov 3, 2026, and tuition is International students may require an electronic travel authorization (eTA) or visa to attend the mandatory in-person orientation. Students complete in-person orientation and development sessions in Kitchener at the start of the program. They then take courses and seminars via Zoom or similar platforms. Students engage in research on social justice, diversity, equity, and inclusion. They work on their dissertation under supervision and attend doctoral research seminars.

Full-time, 12 terms; includes in-person orientation, virtual synchronous coursework, comprehensive examination, and dissertation; no co-op or practicum stated.

Graduates enter research, policy analysis, leadership, and faculty roles in human service organizations.

Master of Social Work degree from a recognized university with at least an A- average. Three or more years of post-MSW practice experience. Evidence of scholarly ability. International applicants must have confirmed third-party funding.
