Students complete supervised internships in real-world social service settings such as youth treatment units, crime victim centers, and aging services offices. They apply classroom knowledge to direct practice with individuals, families, and communities under faculty guidance. The program emphasizes field education as a core component of professional training. Students engage in regular debriefing sessions to reflect on their experiences and develop clinical skills.

The program requires 120 credits, with coursework in human behavior, social welfare policy, ethics, and counseling. Students complete a supervised field internship as part of the curriculum, integrating academic learning with professional practice.

Graduates enter roles such as case managers, mental health assistants, youth counselors, and community outreach coordinators in agencies, schools, hospitals, and nonprofit organizations.

Applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalent. A minimum GPA of 2.5 is required. Submit official transcripts and a completed application form. International students must also provide English proficiency test scores.

The programme totals about 120 credit hours. Face-to-face classes, full-time, four years. For international students, tuition is around the median for US programmes. The institution admits about 78% of applicants.

Advising, learning support, and career services help students choose programs, manage coursework, build professional networks, and prepare for employment or further study.

Grounded in IHM tradition and charism since 1920, Immaculata connects scholarship with formation of the whole person, service, justice, and dialogue between faith and culture. Its Mighty Macs women's basketball teams won the first three national women's college basketball championships, in 1972, 1973, and 1974.
