About the Program

The SHIFT Study Sprint in Renewable Energy Systems is a 15-week preparatory course at Technische Hochschule Ingolstadt, aimed at Bachelor's graduates in energy subjects who intend to continue with a Master's in Renewable Energy Systems at THI. The course combines subject-related preparation with intercultural training, German language classes, mentoring, and administrative support to help participants integrate at THI and in Ingolstadt. Subject-related courses include Thermodynamics 1, Electrical Engineering, and an elective from Energy Distribution and CHP Plants, Energy Markets and Coupling Sectors, or Energy Storage. Academic writing is also part of the curriculum, alongside German classes at A1 or A2 level, intercultural training, workshops, and excursions to cities, conferences, and companies. Participants do not hold student status during the course, and it does not constitute a university entrance examination or specific preparation for one.
