Pace’s PhD in Nursing program prepares students to advance the healthcare field as scholars, educators, and policy leaders dedicated to improving health outcomes through research and innovation. This research-intensive program focuses on developing nurse scholars, educators, and leaders in evidence-based practice.

Focus areas include Nursing Science Research, Nursing Education, Healthcare Policy Leadership, Evidence-Based Practice, Gerontological Nursing, Medical-Surgical Nursing.

The 45-credit program is research-intensive, including coursework, research practicum, and dissertation development.

Graduates become nurse scientists, researchers, faculty, and leaders in the profession, entering roles in universities, colleges of nursing, health systems, and hospitals.

Applicants must hold an active, unencumbered New York State RN license and have completed bachelor's and master's degrees, with at least one in nursing. Required documents include a personal statement, resume, two letters of recommendation, and official transcripts from all institutions attended.

The programme totals about 45 credit hours. In-Person, 2.5 years Full-Time or 4-5 years Part-Time. The program meets one day per week in person during the academic year. For international students, tuition is above the median for US programmes. The institution admits about 77% of applicants.
