The Bachelor of Science in Nursing programme prepares students for entry-level registered nursing practice. It emphasizes evidence-based care and clinical decision-making through structured coursework and supervised practice. Students engage in hands-on learning within healthcare settings under faculty supervision. The programme is cohort-based and designed for traditional undergraduate students at Iona University.

The programme requires completion of 120 credits, including general education, prerequisite science courses, and nursing-specific coursework. Students complete clinical practicum hours as part of their required nursing courses.

Graduates are prepared to work as registered nurses in hospitals, clinics, long-term care facilities, and community health settings.

Applicants must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.2 at Iona University. They must have completed at least one full-time semester at Iona. A completed application, personal statement, and letter of recommendation from an Iona faculty member are required.

The programme totals about 120 credit hours. On-campus, full-time, cohort-based programme with clinical practicum components. For international students, tuition is well above the median for US programmes. The institution admits about 91% of applicants.

New Rochelle offers modern facilities, while Bronxville has historic character and a downtown with shops, cafés and restaurants. Both campuses are a short train ride from New York City. Students can also explore Iona’s campus in Westport, Ireland, where classes take place at historic Westport House on a 400-acre estate. Campus life includes athletics, student clubs, volunteering and performances.
