Introduction

Manhattan College is a Lasallian Catholic institution guided by faith, respect, learning, community, and social justice. Students from all backgrounds are welcomed to develop academically and personally, with opportunities to grow as leaders and contribute to their communities. Campus housing, dining, counseling, fitness facilities, and supportive services help students settle into residential study.

Academic options are organised across the Kakos School of Arts & Sciences, the O’Malley School of Business, and the School of Engineering. Arts and Sciences programmes develop critical thinking and research skills across the sciences, humanities, and social sciences. Business students study finance, analytics, marketing, and entrepreneurship through hands-on learning and internships. Engineering programmes combine technical education with practical design experiences connected to New York City’s engineering and technology sectors. Internships, employer partnerships, and alumni connections are part of the academic experience across the schools.

Riverdale provides a quieter campus base in the Bronx, with tree-lined streets, cafés, and a strong campus feel. Van Cortlandt Park, covering more than 1,100 acres, is nearby. Midtown Manhattan is around 30 minutes away, giving students access to internships, museums, entertainment, cultural institutions, and networking opportunities. More than 80 clubs and organisations support involvement beyond classes, while the city and the Bronx provide opportunities to explore culture, history, food, and innovation.
