Python for Data Analysis and Visualisation

This course at Technische Universität Berlin introduces the fundamentals of Python with a focus on the skills needed for data analysis and data visualisation — two competencies relevant across STEM and humanities disciplines. Topics covered include data types and compound data structures, conditional statements and loops, Python functions, importing and analysing data using pandas, and visualising data with Matplotlib and Seaborn. An additional topic introduces the development of interactive plots with Plotly. The course runs over two weeks and concludes with a personal data analytics and visualisation project that students develop and present. It is held at Technische Universität Berlin in Berlin, Germany.
