The Master of Public Health (M.P.H.) program prepares students to promote good health and prevent disease within communities. It focuses on educating future leaders, promoting social justice, and excellence in practice through collaborative partnerships. The program offers fully-online courses with in-person intensives, and has specific emphases available.

Focus areas include Epidemiology, Health Promotion.

Graduating seniors and graduates of any major are invited to apply. Combined degree options are available for undergraduate students in Allied Health Sciences or Exercise Science majors, allowing application in their junior year after completing 55+ credit hours. Direct admittance is available for students from Lake Superior State University and Northern Michigan University.

The program offers a traditional in-seat format, a hybrid format with weekend classes, and a new fully-online (asynchronous) format with in-person intensives launching Fall 2026. The hybrid and new online formats are designed for adult and nontraditional learners. For international students, tuition is below the median for US programmes. The institution admits about 95% of applicants.
