Graduates typically find roles in shops, on assembly lines or at construction sites, working for employers in manufacturing, transportation, distribution, logistics, food processing and natural resources. Many positions involve hands-on welding, supervision of production teams or further specialised training.

This applied certificate provides the practical skills needed for those workplaces. Delivered off-campus through industry outreach, the program includes the WELD 115 (Gas Metal Arc Welding) unit and offers credit for WELD 105, enabling students to progress within Saskatchewan Polytechnic’s welding pathway.
