To ensure your application is successful, your certificate must clearly show: Your Full Name: This must match the name on your passport exactly. Official Authentication: A fresh official stamp, seal, and signature from the issuing police department or government authority. Issue Date: Most universities require this document to be very recent, usually issued within the last 3 to 6 months. English Translation: If the original document is not in English, you must provide a notarized English translation alongside the original. How to get it? Local Authorities: You can usually apply for this at your local police station, Ministry of Justice, or through an official government website in your home country. International Students: If you have lived in a different country for more than six months, some universities may ask for a certificate from that country as well. Notarization and Legalization: Depending on the country where you are applying, you might need to have the document notarized or legalized by an embassy to prove it is authentic. Standard Requirements: File Format: We accept both PDF and JPG files. File Size: We strongly recommend using PDF and keeping the file size below 2.5MB. This helps our team process your application faster and avoids errors during upload. Success Checklist: Check the Expiry: Ensure the document is still "fresh" when you submit it; certificates older than 6 months are often rejected. Clear Scanning: Use a high-quality color scan; ensure all stamps, watermarks, and security features are clearly visible. Include All Pages: If the certificate has multiple pages or a back page with stamps, scan them all into one PDF. Apply Early: These certificates can sometimes take several weeks to be issued, so request yours as soon as you decide to apply.
