BSN to DNP Online Pathway

More than 90 undergraduate and graduate programs are available across the College of Arts and Sciences, John E. Simon School of Business, School of Education and Myrtle E. and Earl E. Walker College of Health Professions. Academic areas include business, healthcare, education, science, mathematics, engineering, nursing, occupational therapy, physical therapy, data science, counseling and speech-language pathology. International applicants use the international application if they are not United States citizens or permanent residents, including visa holders, refugees and asylum seekers. Students intending to study in the United States on an F-1 visa must enroll in a predominantly on-campus academic program. International options are also available for weekend and evening nursing and online programs.

This is an accelerated online Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) program designed for experienced nurses with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. It focuses on the scientific underpinnings of nursing, healthcare policy, and organizational management, allowing students to bypass the Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree. The program offers five specializations in advanced practice nursing.

Focus areas include Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP), Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner (AGPCNP), Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP), Pediatric (Primary Care) Nurse Practitioner (PNP), Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP).

The program comprises 74-77 credit hours, including 56 core credit hours and 18-21 concentration credit hours, depending on the chosen specialization.

Graduates are prepared for leadership roles in direct patient care, clinical and nonclinical teams, education, administration, policy, and executive positions.

No GMAT, GRE, or statistics are required. Applicants must be experienced nurses with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
