Students complete 900 clinical anesthesia cases across four rotations at sites throughout the U.S. They begin with two fully remote semesters of didactic instruction before transitioning to on-campus learning in a simulated operating room. The program prepares students to deliver individualized perianesthetic care for patients of all ages and conditions. Graduates are trained to function independently as certified registered nurse anesthetists from day one.

The program requires 9 semesters and includes 5 semesters of didactic study, with the first two fully remote and the next three on-campus. Clinical rotations follow on-campus coursework and require completion of at least 650 cases, with students averaging 900. The program leads to a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree.

Graduates work as certified registered nurse anesthetists in hospital operating rooms, surgery centers, doctors’ offices, and academic institutions.

Applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree and have experience as a registered nurse. The application deadline is September 15, 2026, with interviews held October 15-17, 2026. The program starts May 17, 2027.
