At The University of Law, Hong Kong (ULAW), applications for the Dec 2026 intake are due by Sep 4, 2026.

If you hold an undergraduate degree in a field other than law and want to pursue a career as a solicitor, the MA Law (SQE1) course is designed for you. This course integrates the SQE1 Preparation Course, which will ready you for the SQE1 assessments, and offers up to four weeks of guaranteed Qualifying Work Experience (QWE) within Legal Advice Clinics. The Solicitor Pass Promise ensures that if you don't pass the SQE1 assessments on your first attempt, the cost of your resit and the opportunity to repeat the SQE1 Exam Preparation Course are covered. This course provides an excellent pathway for non-law graduates to gain a legal qualification at the Master's level.

Additionally, the inclusion of the Law of Organisations module, which focuses on company and partnership law, and the resources developed specifically for SQE by expert lecturers, offer an excellent preparation for further legal studies and practice. The course is available full-time, part-time evening, and part-time weekend, with flexible study options across multiple locations in the UK, as well as online.

Our experienced lecturers, who are qualified lawyers, provide lectures and practical workshops to develop your legal skills, preparing you for real-life work environments. You will also have access to the ULaw SQE app, which includes an extensive bank of practice exam questions, ULaw SQE, and brand new online study manuals to support your preparation for the SQE1 assessments.

The MA Law (SQE1) course is part of the largest community of postgraduate law conversion students, supported by a vast network in the legal industry, providing training for 90 of the top 100 law firms in the UK.
