Bachelor in Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to BSc in Nursing (BScN) Transition Program

Tuition is Domestic tuition is $2,264.00. Additional costs include scrubs, stethoscopes, and lab kits.; the deadline to apply for the May 2027 intake is Apr 15, 2027.

This program is designed for Alberta LPNs with recent clinical experience who want to become Registered Nurses. It provides a one-year accelerated pathway to enter Year 3 of a BScN program. Students complete four university-level courses through blended learning, mostly online with in-person labs. The program prepares students for the clinical demands of the full BScN program and the NCLEX exam.

1 year, 4 courses, part-time, blended delivery with in-person labs.

Graduates enter the role of Registered Nurse after completing the full BScN program and passing the NCLEX.

Current Alberta LPN practice permit, 4,000 hours of clinical practice in the last four years, competitive GPA from most recent 18 credits, official transcripts, practice permit, and work-hour verification by January 15. English proficiency required for non-native speakers: Duolingo 130, IELTS 7.0 (min 6.5 per band), Oxford ELLT 8 (min 7 per band), or TOEFL iBT 92 or PBT 580.
