Landscape Horticulture (Diploma)

The programme is a fully approved Certified Horticultural Technician integrated educational programme recognised by the International Certification Council and the Canadian Nursery Landscape Association. Graduates can move into roles such as certified arborist, landscape contractor, municipal horticulturist, garden designer or continue to degree study in landscape architecture.

Students attend five courses each term, covering plant identification, landscape construction and design, and they develop practical skills in the campus gardens – Rock Garden, Alumni Garden, Botanical Garden and associated greenhouses. The diploma also offers a clear pathway to a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture for those wishing to extend their studies.
