The International College of Liberal Arts (iCLA) is the international department of Yamanashi Gakuin University, a private institution founded in 1946. iCLA was established in 2015 to take the university's globalisation agenda forward, and its six majors (Data Science, Global Business and Economics, Interdisciplinary Arts, Japan Studies, Political Science and Psychology) can also be combined under a design-your-own-major option that draws courses from across the college.

How tuition works

Tuition for years two through four is ¥1,696,000 a year, made up of ¥1,316,000 in tuition and ¥380,000 in facility fees. Your first year adds a one-off ¥200,000 enrolment fee on top of that figure. Teaching combines the college's liberal arts foundation with digital science, on the view that understanding technology is now part of a rounded education.
